California, ground zero for insane public policies and cultish-like fervency to all things transgender, which is a spoke on the DEI wheel

Desert Sands Unified School District, responding to community requests, will place a Resolution titled, “SUPPORTING TITLE IX AND FAIRNESS IN GIRLS’ INTERSCHOLASTIC SPORTS,” (Sonja Shaw-Chino) on the May 20, 2025, regular board meeting agenda, for consideration as a future agenda item.

That bears reiterating: The Title IX Resolution is NOT up for adoption/approval but rather is up for discussion at the end of the meeting on the item “Suggestions for Future Agendas That Receive at Least 3 Votes.” Thus, the board, and the public, will discuss the Resolution and then the board will vote on placing it on a future agenda. The item must garner at least three votes to be considered as an actual Resolution at a future meeting.

That does not make your voice any less important. In fact, it may be your only chance to give your civil and reasoned arguments to the Board of Trustees on why they should take a stand to protect girls sports; to lend them your courage to do the right thing, the principled thing, i.e. Announce to the world that the Desert Sands Unified School District (DSUSD) believes girls are girls, and boys are boys and should compete separately in sports.

Yes, it is absolutely ludicrous that we live in a time where anyone, other than the father of lies, would argue that boys pretending to be girls, and usurping their opportunities in sports, not to mention life, is an acceptable and righteous policy. Yet here we are in 2025 California, ground zero for insane public policies and cultish-like fervency to all things transgender, which is a spoke on the DEI wheel.

So, it falls to you and me, my friends, to stand up for the children, simply because we find ourselves here, at this point in time. The only thing worse than seeing the dastardly practice of boys competing in girls sports is to remain silent and complacent when given the opportunity to speak. The “trans advocates” are not silent, nor are they very nice, and it would be a low-down crying shame to give the DSUSD Board of Education the impression that belief in the crazy nonsense is the majority-held view by their constituents. We all know it isn’t, despite what the corporate media would have us believe.

There are three ways to make your voice heard, but the days are short. If you would like to appear in-person and make a public comment of support, the meeting starts at 7 pm and the public comments come pretty quick on the agenda. You could also write a comment and ask for it to be read into the record, but your deadline is 2 PM on May 20. More details can be found at the DSUSD agenda page. Additionally, you could email the DSUSD Board of Trustees and/or the Superintendent:

The meeting itself can be viewed on the DSUSD YouTube channel.

Please remember that this is Southern California, where common sense is not prevalent in our government agencies, so bring your Faith and logic to bear with evidence, from Executive Orders to studies and statistics. There is no guarantee that the board will place the Resolution on a future agenda, and this is an uphill battle with this DEI-laden district. It will take a certain amount of courage for the DSUSD Board to go against the grain of the woke mind virus view of their peers, and even their own administrative staff, so please offer them the encouragement to do so.
